Ted (2012)

John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) is a lonely 8 year old boy living in Boston who finds it tough making friends. On Christmas morning 1985 he receives from his parents a teddy bear and names him Teddy or "Ted" for short. That night John wishes for Ted to come to life, and as he goes to sleep a shooting star passes by. As a result John's wish is granted, and he awakens in the morning to find that Ted can now walk and talk just like a real boy. As John and Ted become best friends for real, Ted quickly becomes a worldwide celebrity.
